Steeped in history, The Vicarage was completed in 1901, built as the third manse to the
Presbyterian church and later it was the Glen Mavis Maternity Hospital.
Since then the property has been lovingly restored and decorated to provide a relaxed and
luxurious stay. You will be right in the heart of town with only a five-minute walk to the famous Victorian Precinct and everything else that beautiful sunny Oamaru has to offer.
Whether you are looking for a relaxing (adult only) few days away or need somewhere to stop for a comfortable night's sleep The Vicarage is the perfect place. Each of our three private guest rooms have their own ensuite, high end amenities and luxury linens.
All rooms have been updated to modern standards without losing the charm of its long history.
A continental breakfast, full of Oamaru's finest produce will be served in the morning. Coffee, tea and treats will be available any time in our guest parlour.
We will invite you to make yourself at home at The Vicarage and are on call any time you might need something. We are also big believers in respecting your privacy and allowing you time to completely unwind while experiencing your stay in this grand old lady.
